LOS ANGELES, CA – December 2, 2009 – AssistMed, Inc. today announced its electronic health records platform has been endorsed by the Philippine Medical Association of Southern California for use by the organization’s physician members. AssistMed’s electronic health records platform is CCHIT 2008 certified and provides the association’s members with technology that qualifies for reimbursement of funds available through the centers for Medicare and Medicaid for the adoption of electronic health record systems before 2015.
“Our decision to endorse AssistMed’s electronic health records solution was predicated on several considerations, including its easy-to-use technology and financing options,” said Dr. Edgar Banez, president of the Philippine Medical Association of Southern California. "Doctors can select from a variety of different system interfaces -- including a keyboard, dictation or a digital pen. We anticipate these unique features and the financing options will be attractive to our members, enabling physicians to enhance patient care by utilizing a superior health records solution while lessening the financial impact of implementing new technology,” Banez added.
“We are committed to providing physicians with an electronic medical records platform that meets or exceeds established standards. Our solution is flexible enough to conform to a physician’s existing workflow with a unique technology that leads to faster adoption and higher productivity. We are gratified to have received this endorsement from the Philippine Medical Association of Southern California and look forward to working with their membership to help them realize all the benefits of our solution,” said Dr. Leonardo Berezovsky, chief executive officer of AssistMed.
